Guillaume Debellemaniere MD

Dr. Debellemaniere was born in France on March 14, 1986 and is an eye surgeon specializing in cataract, refractive and corneal surgery at the Moorea Ophthalmology Center, Moorea, French Polynesia. He is the co-inventor and primary developer of the PEARL-DGS IOL power calculation formula. He is also the co-founder of the Laser Vision Correction Center in Papeete, French Polynesia.

He received a Master 1 “Biology and Healthcare”, UFR SMP, Franche-Comté University and Master 2 “Quality Risk Management in Healthcare”, with Prof. Bertrand and Prof. Hocquet, UFR SMP, Franche-Comté University. He received his medical degree (Diplôme d’Etat de Docteur en Médecine) from the Franche-Comté University, France, Nov. 2015.

He did his ophthalmology residency from Nov 2010 to Nov 2015 at the University Hospital of Besançon, Ophthalmology Department and a Diplôme d'Etudes Spécialisées en Ophtalmologie, Franche-Comté University, France. He did a fellowship at the University Hospital of Besançon, Ophthalmology Department from Jan 2016 to Nov 2017. He became a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) in June 2016. He then did a fellowship with Dr. Damien Gatinel at the Anterior Segment and Refractive Surgery Dept, Rothschild Foundation, Paris from Nov 2017 to Nov 2019.

From Jan 2020 to Sept 2020 he was involved with the Case Investigation and Contact Tracing Unit, Governmental COVID Crisis Unit in French Polynesia. He resides in French Polynesia and is involved professionally with:
